So how much does this really cost?
We have three website options available, priced at £150, £200 or £250 depending on how much information you want to display. Those prices are fixed and cover the cost of setting up your website and hosting for the first month.
What's hosting?
Your website has to be placed on a computer known as a web server or web host which is connected to the Internet. Once your website is on one of these computers, it can be found by people searching the Internet.
So, I get the first month's hosting included. Then what?
We charge a monthly fee of £10. This covers the cost of keeping your website up and running.
Can I make changes once the website is set up?
We can make changes for you once the website is set up, but you can only change each section of the website once each month. So, you could update a product's details, add or remove a product, change your telephone number etc. But you can't change any of those things more than once per month. If you need to make excessive changes to your website within any month, we may have to charge you an extra fee to cover the time required to do this.
What about SEO?
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is something of a controversial matter as there are many companies out there who will charge quite a lot for SEO advice. The honest ones will make changes to your website's content, such as the page titles, page headings etc. The less honest ones will offer services such as selling backlinks.
Search engines exist to help people find things. Search engines use complex, secret, algorithms to try and determine what each page of every website on the Internet is about and then index certain phrases so that those web pages can be shown in search results when people search for those words. A huge industry has grown out of trying to reverse-engineer the algorithms used by the search engines in order to manipulate results and get pages to the top. However, the problem with this is that the search engines are aware that people try to do this and they are constantly updating and improving their algorithms to try and return these pages back to their rightful place in the search results.
In short, the best way to get good placement in search results is simply by providing good quality original content on your website and setting your page titles, headers and descriptions to appropriately describe each page.
idesigncompany websites follow best practice advice from the top search engines to help ensure that your website gets the best possible placement in search results. We won't make any claims that we can get you to the top of the front page, and frankly anyone who does isn't being entirely honest, but we at least make sure that your website adheres to all of the rules, which puts your website in good stead for the best possible placement.
